DAY 01 = HA NOI ARRIVAL + CITY TOUR (D)

Pick up at airport and transfer to hotel. Take a city tour visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside), an important place of pilgrimage for Vietnamese, Ho Chi Minh’s House on Stilts, built in the style of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities, surrounded by verdant and peaceful gardens, One Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th century, of wood on a single stone pillar resembling a lotus blossom, symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow,Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam founded in 1070 boasting 82 stone stele with the names, places of birth and achievements of men who received doctorates in each triennial examination from 1442. Visit to the historic Old Quarter of Hanoi with 36 streets named after the goods once sold there. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake, an oasis of calm right in the heart of the city. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Ha Noi.

*Note: Ho Chi Minh house is closed on Monday afternoon.

DAY 02 = HA NOI + HA LONG + HA NOI (B/L/D)

Transfer to Halong – Halong Bay was awarded by UNESCO as a natural heritage in 1994. This four hour drive will show you the diversity of the North Vietnam villages and rice fields along the journey. Arrive in Ha Long, take a 4-hour boat cruise through the emerald waters between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, visit Thien cung cave (the cave of the heavenly palace – famous for its stalagmites and stalactites). Enjoy lunch on the boat.

Transfer back to Ha Noi. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Ha Noi.

DAY 03 = HA NOI DEPARTURE (B)

Free for leisure until transfer back to to airport for flight back home. End of trip.
